Work area transitions represent specific actions that users can take in the change control process to change a work area’s state, and thereby its Status, from one to another.
To create or edit a work area workflow transition:

Display name |
Type the name of the transition as you want it to appear to users. This name should reflect the purpose of the destination state in the workflow. |
Name |
A default internal name is calculated. Accept the default in most cases. |
After this transition executes, do the following for changed documents |
Select an action from the list to be performed automatically on the documents that have been changed in the work area. These options are mostly applicable to the end states of a workflow. |
After this transition executes, do the following for unchanged documents |
Select an action from the list to be performed automatically on the documents that have not been changed in the work area. These options are mostly applicable to the end states of a workflow. |
Create work area baseline |
Creates a baseline in the work area when this transition is executed. For more information about baselines, see the BlueCielo Meridian User’s Guide. |
Create a baseline in the parent area |
Creates a baseline in the Main area or parent work area when this transition is executed. For more information about baselines, see the BlueCielo Meridian User’s Guide. |

Select an icon to be shown next to this transition’s name in the Meridian client applications. |
